Our plants
Power lines 
Italgen currently owns 24 power transmission lines for a total length of about 400 km. Power lines connect Italgen’s main hydropower plants with Italcementi Group’s cement plants. Almost all Italgen’s power lines are of the overhead type.

Glossary
Power lines
"Overhead power transmission lines are made of steel lattice towers or metal pylons that keep conductors at a safe height. Medium voltage transmission lines are simpler and shorter. Submarine high voltage cables represent another type of special transmission lines."
