Restoring and preserving green areas 
Italgen has been promoting the ongoing recovery, protection and enhancement of green areas near its plants, in close co-operation with local institutions and associations, including the maintenance of rural roads including the Strada Priula, the historic route linking the Bergamo province to Valtellina.

Fish protection and restocking
The protection of the river ecosystem affected by Italgen’s activities is an essential aspect of the company’s business and develops through concrete actions to safeguard fish stocks, including the construction of special passes (fish ladders) enabling fish migration through the river. Also fish restocking programs, performed in cooperation with the relevant authorities, are an integral portion of Italgen’s commitment to sustainability.
