05/12/2016

"Beyond Turmoil, a positive agenda". The second edition of Med Forum “Mediterranean Dialogues”, held in Rome under the patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Republic, has successfully ended up.

A must attend event gathering over 1,000 business, political and financial leaders, 40 ministers and senior officials from 55 countries, 80 international organizations and think tanks.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and by ISPI (Institute for International Political Studies), focused on the reinforcement of a platform of key players stimulating debates and new ideas, rethinking traditional approaches for a new positive agenda for the Mediterranean region.

Among the pivotal forum topics: common security, fight against terrorism, future of the Middle East, immigration, the role of women and young people to relaunch economic interactions, promote greater regional cooperation and ensure adequate incentives for sustainable development.

The strong value of the initiative has led Italgen to renew its sponsorship and actively attend the working sessions.

“We believe that the findings emerged from the second edition of the international forum are fundamental for the future of the Mediterranean Rim, where we operate since long time - said Giuseppe De Beni, CEO & Managing Director of Italgen - We wish that the outcomes of the event may positively turn out into concrete actions”
