New licenses for a wind farm in Turkey

Consistent with its Sustainable Development Policy, Italcementi Group - acting through Italgen, its energy company - has closed the acquisition of licenses to build a 142 MW wind farm in Turkey.

The plant will be erected in Balikesir (North Western Turkey) on a plateau subject to constant winds and close to the national grid.

After the agreements signed in Egypt and Morocco, the facility will enable Italgen to expand its renewable energy business as envisaged by its Strategic Plan.
