The leading hubs of the Italian trade fair scenario will be powered by the renewable energy coming from Italgen’s hydropower plants.
The company will cover the energy needs of an exhibition space of more than 550,000 square meters, contributing to the sustainable project put in place by Italian Exhibition Group, the top Italian trade show organizer born from the merger of Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza.
"We are proud to provide energy to a player, leader in the promotion and internationalization of some of the most successful Made in Italy production chains, driving the economic development of our country" said Giuseppe De Beni, CEO and Managing Director of Italgen.
We are additionally proud to provide Italian Exhibition Group with a great contribution in terms of sustainable development. Since the beginning Italgen has been strongly committed to sustainability. We operate in full compliance with the environment using the best available technologies. Thanks to high sustainable standards, our national and international projects obtained over the years the most relevant certifications: ISO 9001, 14001 and EMAS (Eco Management Audit Scheme)."
Italgen’s national perimeter includes 15 hydropower plants, a photovoltaic plant and over 300 kilometers of transmission lines in northern Italy. Further to an ambitious and effective revamping program, our hydropower plants have significantly improved the availability rate of water resources for power generation.
